Journey On relaxation exercise

This was an interesting experiment for me. I have meditated before, but not really in a structured way, that was led by a tape. I do basic, " deep-breathing" exercises, and yoga on my own for most of my meditation. I think that the journey on relaxation exercise is a good tool, and probably effective for some people. For me, I was not really able to relax. I think the main reason, was because of the fact, that the entire time, I was aware that it was an assignment, and that changed the dynamic of the relaxation technique. I hope all others who tried the exercise were more able to use it to relax. I have a difficult time doing that, anyway!

  1. I have a huge respect for people who do yoga. I've tried it with couple of my friends, thinking that it would be a piece of cake like stretching. But we were clearly wrong. In fact, we concluded that yoga was one of the hardest workouts ever. Nice post and keep up your nice work!

    I too have a hard time doing the relaxation exercises when I know that it is an assignment. Hopefully, with time and practice, we will be able to overcome that and just enjoy the exercises and use them as we want to.

  3. Brooke-I was relaxing with this but kept trying to listen to see if there was something would be included in the assignment! HaHa! Hopefully next time it will be more relaxing!
